Booth Burton Hub
Project Outline
To create a state-of-the-art transport and logistics facility for food and logistics giant, Booth Transport. This project needed to reflect the client’s personality and carry them through the next decade. Bright. Bold. Welcoming.
The Glask team vertically integrated themselves into the Booth business in order to first refine the goals and establish how they wanted to be perceived to their clients. This phase allowed the team to visualise and create something truly bespoke and a standout within the South Australian market.
The facility consists of over 12,500m2 of undercover areas, including an 8,000m2 warehouse, 1980m2 three-bay workshop, and 1980m2 three-bay washbay; capable of washing six truck/trailer combinations at any one time. There’s also a 700m2 high-end office, 200m2 of workshop offices, and 200m2 of driver EOT facilities. The facility has its own trade registered weighbridge, fuel farm with electronic dispensers, and a heavy-duty rear container yard.
The Adelaide winter and COVID 19 restrictions created many challenges for the team. Kieran spent over 18 weeks in Adelaide to stay hands-on and ensure the project came to life. Resources were sourced locally and interstate; the concreters arrived and went straight into quarantine several times but still managed to hit their targets. Despite the challenges, all budget, time, and brief targets were met. The final result was a true execution of the original vision; a design and construct project that showcased the unique personality of Booth Transport that resonated with their core audience.
